VisualTrims

by zenchix

VisualTrims lets a player pick armor trim patterns and materials for worn gear on the client, without changing how the armor works for anyone else.

FabricClient-side onlyAll rights reserved1.21.1 – 1.21.11

What it does

Trims are chosen for the helmet, chestplate, leggings and boots through an in-game screen that shows previews of each option. Arrow selectors step through the choices, and five custom loadouts can be saved and switched between, so several looks stay ready. Changes apply in real time and appear only on the player's own screen.

The mod runs on the client alone and leaves the server untouched. Since only the player's view changes, it can be used on Realms, vanilla servers, modded multiplayer servers and in a single-player world. Other players see the standard trim unless they run the mod too. The menu is translated into English (US and UK), Russian, German, Spanish, French and Ukrainian.

Files are published for Fabric only, for 1.21.1, 1.21.5, 1.21.10 and 1.21.11, with 2.0 for 1.21.11 as the latest file. The code is not open source and is released under All rights reserved.

Key features

  1. Per-slot trim selection

Each armor piece can take its own trim pattern and material, so the four slots are styled independently.

  2. Interactive preview menu

A GUI shows item previews with arrow selectors and preset slots, so trims can be compared before a choice is kept.

  3. Five saved presets

Up to five custom armor trim loadouts can be stored and switched between at any time.

  4. Lightweight rendering

The mod changes only what the player sees, without altering game mechanics or adding packet traffic.
