Villager Job Block

by rosetkaqqe

Villager Job Block is a Fabric client-side tool that highlights the job blocks villagers use in nearby areas of a singleplayer world.

FabricClient-side onlyMIT License1.21.11

What it does

The mod shows which villagers are connected to a job block. It works as a visual aid: a player looking for a specific profession or workstation can see matching blocks marked on screen for a set time, within a chosen search radius. The search and display options are adjustable, so the highlight can be tuned to the player's preference.

Installation needs Fabric API, which the mod requires, and Mod Menu adds a settings screen for its options but is not required. Only the client needs the mod, so servers run without it. Files are published for Fabric and 1.21.11, with 1.0.0 as the latest build, and more versions are planned. The mod is restricted to the player's own worlds and singleplayer games. Its code is released under the MIT License and is not open source.

Key features

  1. Job block connection view

Shows which villagers are linked to a job block, so players can check workstation assignments.

  2. Adjustable search radius

The distance searched for matching job blocks can be set in the configuration.

  3. Highlight and display time

Matches are highlighted on screen for a configurable duration, after which the markers disappear.

  4. Filled and outline rendering

Blocks can be marked with a filled box, an outline, or both, each with its own transparency setting.
