Velopin
by Foccus
Velopin lets a player mark the current position with one key press and follow a direction arrow back to that point later.
What it does
Pressing K places a waypoint at the player's current position. If a waypoint already exists, pressing K again replaces it with a new one at the new location, and pressing L removes the current waypoint. A compact HUD then shows a direction arrow and the real-time distance to the destination, and the arrow stays on screen until the player reaches it. Within 10 blocks of the destination the indicator hides itself, which keeps the screen uncluttered.
The mod stores each marked point on disk so it can be reached again in a later session. Its interface is minimalist, and its author describes it as having little effect on game performance. Velopin requires Fabric API, and it runs on the client alone, so servers need nothing installed. Files are published for Fabric only, for Minecraft 1.21.11, under the MIT License; the mod itself is not open source.
