Variant Composters, a Fabric decoration and utility mod, gives the composter block a set of wood types so builders can match it to their planks.
What it does
The mod adds composters in several wood types, and the vanilla composter is renamed and recoloured to a spruce look so it fits that wood. Each variant can be uncrafted back to the vanilla block. Textures were made from the matching planks, and the file is kept small by compressing them without visible loss.
Variant Barrels and Variant Bookshelves are included as companion blocks in the same wood types. The mod is client and server, so both sides need it. It is published for Fabric only, for 1.20 and 1.20.1, with 2.4.1 for 1.20.1 as the latest file. Fabric API is not listed as a requirement. Mod compatibility is covered, and the load conditions are set so that full error output stays readable when other mods are present. Better Nether is handled specially: its warped and crimson crafting tables are disabled to avoid duplicate composters.
