Vanity: Invisible Armory

by Ferano

Vanity: Invisible Armory lets players hide the appearance of worn armor while keeping its protection, so an outfit can be chosen for looks alone.

FabricForgeNeoForgeClient and serverAll rights reserved1.20.1 – 1.20.4

What it does

Armor worn in the Vanity: Invisible Armory setup covers helmets, chestplates, leggings and boots, and each piece can be displayed differently from the armor that actually protects the wearer. Horse armor follows the same idea. The mod depends on Vanity: Core, which must be installed alongside it on every loader.

Players who want a cosmetic look without giving up defense can combine these pieces with their real gear. The mod is available for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge in two release versions, 1.20.1 and 1.20.4, and the environment is client and server, so the server and every player need it. The code is not open source and is released under All rights reserved.

Key features

  1. Hidden armor appearance

Each armor piece can be worn invisibly, so the look of the outfit stays separate from its protective value.

  2. Horse armor support

Horse armor can be given the same invisibility treatment, keeping a mount's look distinct from its gear.

  3. Totem interaction

Totems of undying work with the hidden armor setup, so the mod does not interfere with that item's effect.

  4. Stylist villager trade

A Stylist villager offers a trade that grants the invisibility option, with a chance to receive it.

Use cases

Cosmetic outfits in survival

A player keeps strong protective gear underneath and wears a plainer or themed look on top.

Roleplay servers

Server members can present costumes that match a character while the real equipment stays unchanged.

Who it’s for: Players who want to separate how their armor looks from what it protects, and server owners who want an armor cosmetic system on Fabric, Forge or NeoForge.

How it compares

Full comparison

Vanity: Aesthetic Armory is also client and server and released under All rights reserved, with files for 1.20.1 – 1.21.3 on Fabric, Forge and NeoForge. Vanity: Dungeons has the same environment and license but supports only Fabric and Forge, across 1.20.1 – 1.21.3. Vanity Fantasy 3D Weapons targets 1.20.1 alone and covers weapons instead of armor.
