Unsaddle lets a player take a saddle off a mounted animal without killing it, by sneaking and right-clicking the animal.

What it does

Players who want their saddles back can sneak and right-click a saddled strider or pig to retrieve the saddle, and the animal survives. Since 0.2.0 the mod also removes chests from donkeys and mules in the same way. Unsaddle runs on the server alone, so players join without installing it. Its code is under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, and the mod is open source with a source repository and an issue tracker. Files target 1.15 – 1.21.1, and the latest Fabric file is 0.2.1 for 1.21.1.

Unsaddle is a very small mod that hat allows the player to remove saddles from animals without having to kill them unmercifully. Sneak + rightclick a saddled animal (Strider or Pig) to retrieve its saddle. Since 0.2.0, you can also remove chests from donkeys and mules!
