Unobtrusive Vines
by Sunroses
Unobtrusive Vines changes how vines grow, so that they spread less and cause less trouble for player builds.
What it does
The mod makes vine growth less annoying. Its features apply only to vines that a player has placed, so naturally generated vines keep their normal behavior. Vines grow sideways, can be snipped, can be bonemealed, and are kept from growing downward on their own. Installing it on one side is enough for a server or a single-player world, since the environment is client and server. The mod is published for Fabric and Quilt across five release versions, 1.19 – 1.19.4, and is open source under the BSD 3-Clause License.
Key features
Less intrusive growth
Vine growth is reduced so vines stop spreading into areas where a player does not want them.
Player-placed vines only
The changes apply only to vines a player has placed, leaving natural vines in the world as they are.
Controlled vine behavior
Vines can be snipped and bonemealed, and they grow sideways instead of being forced downward.
Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.
Only full game releases are shown. This mod publishes no snapshot builds.

What the author says
This mod makes vines not grow sideways, be snippable to prevent downwards growth, and also bonemealable to force downwards growth. Todo: - make the features only active on player-placed vines - figure out how to make sideways growth on bonemealing work??
