Unnamed Framework
Unnamed Framework is a datapack framework that other datapacks from the same author build on, supplying shared functions and module compatibility.
What it does
Datapacks that depend on the framework use its shared functions for common tasks, so each datapack does not carry its own copy. The framework targets performance, removes redundant code paths, eases compatibility between the author's modules and adds debugging aids. It has no effect on its own; it only works alongside the datapacks that require it.
The mod is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, with files for 1.21 and 1.21.1. Fabric API is required on every loader. A server running it needs every connecting player to have it too. The code is covered by All rights reserved, so the mod is not open source. The latest file is 1.1.0 for 1.21.1, released on 2025-01-11, and the first public release came on 2024-06-26.
The author notes that large parts of the framework may change at any time and that updates may corrupt worlds created on older versions. Backing up a world before updating is advised. Updates and fixes are released at the author's discretion, so long gaps between releases are possible.
Key features
Shared function library
Dependent datapacks call common functions from one place instead of duplicating them.
Redundancy removal
Code paths that repeat work across the author's datapacks are consolidated to reduce overhead.
Module compatibility layer
Datapacks built on the framework share conventions that let them work together.
Debugging tools
Additional diagnostics help identify problems in datapacks that depend on the framework.

How it compares
SugarLib is open source under the MIT License, runs on Fabric and NeoForge for 1.21.1, and is optional on the client or server. Unnamed Common Library covers 1.21.1 – 1.21.11 on Fabric and NeoForge, is not open source, and requires the client while the server may skip it. Kage Library is not open source, covers 1.20.1 – 1.21.11 on Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, and runs on client and server like this framework.
