Umbra Poor Ores is a Minigame mod for Forge and NeoForge that starts a skyblock-style survival run from a small island with poor resources and generators to build up.
What it does
Umbra Poor Ores draws on the skyblock style of small-island play, built around low income and a penniless start. Poorium is the central material, used to craft a range of generators, and smelting Poor Stone in a furnace yields the first tier. Tiny small variations sit above Poorium in the progression.
Two generator lines are included. The poor stone generator and the poor ore generator each come in tier 1 and tier 2. Tier 1 of the ore generator produces stone, coal, copper and iron; tier 2 adds gold, lapis and redstone; tier 3 adds emerald and diamond. A poor soil generator also comes in tiers 1 and 2.
Installation runs on Forge or NeoForge, with the client and server both needing the mod. The latest files are 1.2.4 for 1.21.4, published 2026-08-01, and builds cover 1.19.2 – 1.21.4 across six release versions. The mod is not open source and is released under All rights reserved. Four other mods require it, including Umbra Poor Ores Create Addon and Umbra Poor Ores Mekanism Addon.
