useless buttons be gone(ubbg)

by infinitygames

Useless Buttons Be Gone (UBBG) is a client-side Fabric utility that hides buttons on the title and pause screens that players rarely use, and lets them restore any of them from a config screen.

FabricClient-side onlyMIT LicenseOpen source26.1 – 26.3

What it does

UBBG removes buttons that Minecraft shows on its menus but that many players never click, such as the Telemetry Data, Credits and Attributions and Give Feedback entries, along with the Beacon X button. The mod is client-side only, so a server does not need it and players can join a server without installing anything.

Mod Menu is an optional dependency: with it installed, a player opens UBBG's configuration screen from the mod list and picks which buttons are disabled. The author also lists a copy-name option and a scroll-up option among the features. Files are published for Fabric only, for 26.1 – 26.3, with v0.0.12_mc26.3 for 26.3 as the latest file from 2026-09-22. The code is open source under the MIT License, and snapshot builds are published as well.

Key features

  1. Removes unused menu buttons

Hides the buttons on the main menu and pause screens that the author identifies as rarely used, shortening the menus.

  2. Per-button configuration

A config screen lists each affected button so a player can keep or hide individual entries.

  3. Beacon X button

The Beacon X button is among the entries the mod can remove from the menus.

  4. Copy name option

A copy-name feature is included in the listed options for the mod.

Use cases

Cleaner title screen

A player who never uses the feedback, credits or telemetry entries can hide them so the title screen shows only the buttons they need.

Who it’s for: Players on Fabric who want a shorter title and pause menu, and who are willing to set which buttons are hidden in the config screen.

How it compares
