Treevamped

by AstralWayfarer727

Treevamped, a Fabric world generation mod for 1.21.11, reshapes the overworld trees so they grow taller, vary more in shape and size, and yield more wood.

What it does

The mod changes how overworld trees generate. Some trees grow about three to four blocks taller, with leaves placed higher, so players walking or riding a horse under them are less likely to bump their heads. Trunk placers and foliage placers are altered on certain trees, changing their appearance, and a few trees are given larger sizes and more variety in shape. Biome vegetation distribution is adjusted in some forests, producing wider mixes of small and large trees. Dark Oak and Pale Oak can now also generate as single-block trees, and the mod adds rarer, larger tree features, such as a fancy oak or a mega pine in taiga-like biomes.

The mod is built around gameplay: a single tree gives more resources, and a player can grow the new tree types from saplings, including fancier variants of Dark Oak, Pale Oak and Oak in a 2x2 formation. Spruce, Jungle, Dark Oak and Pale Oak fancy variants are excluded from that growth option. The changes live in the configured feature JSON files of the trees. Treevamped requires Fabric API and is server-side only, so players join a server running it without installing anything. The source code is public under the MIT License, and the project is open source. Files exist for 1.21.11 only, with version 1.4.0 as the latest Fabric file, released 2026-09-20.

Key features

  1. Taller overworld trees

Some trees reach about three to four blocks higher, with leaves set high enough that players do not hit their heads on them.

  2. More tree shapes and sizes

Trunk and foliage placers are changed on certain trees, and the variety of sizes and shapes is widened.

  3. Grown 2x2 and fancy trees

Saplings can grow fancier trees and 2x2 Oak formations, while fancy Spruce, Jungle, Dark Oak and Pale Oak are left out of that option.

  4. Less leaf litter

Leaf litter is removed across the world except in dark forests, and leaves still drop when smelted.
