Transmog
by hidoni
Players who want better-looking gear can use Transmog, a Minecraft Java mod that changes how items appear without changing their stats.
What it does
A Transmogrification Table takes three inputs: a fuel slot that accepts Amethyst Shards, a target slot for the item to be changed, and an appearance slot for the item whose look will be copied. The appearance item is not consumed. Each action uses one third of the fuel power that Amethyst Shards provide.
The mod covers armor, weapons, tools and other items, since the change only affects the visual model. A target item takes on the look of the item in the appearance slot, while its behavior and stats stay as they were. Placing a Void Fragment in the appearance slot gives the target a hidden look instead. To remove the change, put the item in the table with no appearance item.
Transmog is open source under the MIT License and is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt. Files cover 1.18.2 – 26.2, with the latest builds for 26.2. Both the server and every player need it, and Fabric API is required on Fabric, Quilted Fabric API or Quilt Standard Libraries on Quilt. Mod Menu is optional.
Key features
Fuel-based table
Each Amethyst Shard placed in the fuel slot tops up the Transmogrification Table's power, and every action consumes one third of that stored power.
Appearance without consumption
The item in the appearance slot sets the look of the target and is kept after the action.
Transmogrified items
A changed item shows the copied appearance in place of its original model.
Hidden appearances
Void Fragments in the appearance slot give the target a hidden look.
