Transformable Items
by shaweel
Transformable Items lets a player resize the item held in hand, and offers an option to turn off the item height animation.
What it does
Transformable Items changes how a held item is shown and moved. A player can resize the held item, and an extra option disables the item height animations that play when the hand switches items or attacks. The moving of held items up and down is tied to switching and attacking, so the motion follows those actions rather than a separate control.
The mod runs on the client alone, so only the player's game needs it and servers do not. Fabric API is required, and Mod Menu is optional for opening its settings from the mod list. The files target 1.7.2 – 26.3 across Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, with the latest build for 26.3 released on 2026-09-24. The code is released under the MIT License and is open source.
Installation follows the usual steps: choose a mod loader, place the mod file in the mods directory of the .minecraft folder, then launch the game. The mod is listed as a Utility mod and was first published on 2026-06-17.

Use cases
Personal display tuning
A player who finds the held item too large or too much in motion can resize it or disable the height animation.
Who it’s for: Players who want a different look for held items, and anyone who finds the default height animation distracting during combat or item switching.
How it compares
No Re-Equip is a Fabric mod for 1.21.8 under the MIT License, but it is not open source and it is not built for the same purpose. AltLore is open source under the Mozilla Public License 2.0 and targets 1.16.5 – 1.18.2 on Fabric. Transformable Items is client-side only and covers 1.7.2 – 26.3, so it reaches far more versions than either.
