Trails
Trails is a Fabric mod for Minecraft 1.20.1 that lets players lay trails across the world, and the trail network is planned to grow with further additions.
What it does
Players can create trails that connect places in the world, giving a marked route between locations they visit often. The mod is open source under the MIT License and is in beta on the Fabric loader. Trails needs Fabric API and Patchouli, which must be installed alongside it.
The author notes further additions as planned work: taverns as refuges, an extension to beacons, and an extension to biomes. These are listed as coming soon, so they are not in the current build. Because the environment is client and server, the server and every player need the mod for trails to work in multiplayer. The latest Fabric build, 2.1c, was published on 2024-08-07 for 1.20.1, after a first release on 2024-08-01.
