Trading Stalls

by KuKuuu69

Trading Stalls lets players set up shops that sell goods to other players and to villagers, with prices and item-for-item trades chosen by the owner.

FabricClient and serverGNU General Public License v3.0 onlyOpen source1.21 – 1.21.11

What it does

A player places a Cash Drawer next to a Trading Block, then right-clicks the block to set offers, so the stall opens for business. Buyers browse the trades at any time, and payments are stored automatically in the drawer rather than handed over in person. Owners can also stock shelves and create their own trades, so villages gain working market stalls that players and villagers can shop from.

Villagers only buy items from a fixed list, and the sellable items include the Copper Nugget, which became available in 1.21.8. Trades can use emeralds or other items, and a shop may offer up to 6 custom trades. The mod requires Fabric API. It is published for Fabric only, across 10 release versions, 1.21 – 1.21.11, and it runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. The code is released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only and is open source, with public source code and an issue tracker.

Key features

  1. Player-owned shops

Owners set prices for the goods they sell, and players can buy them from the stall at any hour.

  2. Cash Drawer payments

A Cash Drawer placed beside a Trading Block collects payments automatically, so owners need not be online to receive them.

  3. Item-for-item trading

Offers can swap one item for another, not only for emeralds, which allows bartering between players.

  4. Custom villager trades

Shelves and custom offers let villagers sell their wares within a stall, with a limit of 6 custom trades per shop.

Bring your villages to life with working market stalls. Create your own trades, stock your shelves, and let players and villagers shop just as they would in a real marketplace. Place a Cash Drawer, then place a Trading Block directly on top of it, right-click to set your offers, and you're open for business.
