TradeCraft - Player Market & Server Economy

by ZeioDust

TradeCraft adds a small currency called Micro, a player-to-player trade screen and a Market Chest block for running shops on a NeoForge server.

NeoForgeClient and serverAll rights reserved1.20.1 – 1.21.11

What it does

Every player who joins a server for the first time receives a starting balance of 500 Micro. The currency is meant to be the core of a server's economy, used for trades, payments and player-run markets. The Micro balance is shown on a HUD near the hotbar, and it stays in place when a player dies, so money is not lost to death.

Trading between players starts with a key press on another player, which sends a request into the chat. Accepting it opens a small interface where Micro is transferred between the two players. Only currency moves through this interface, so item trades are not part of the system, which keeps the exchange simple. A buy-request option lets players post what they want to buy.

The Market Chest is a chest-like block that lets a player set up an automatic shop in the world. In Sell Mode the owner places items in the chest and sets a price. The shop keeps working around the clock. TradeCraft runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. The mod is published for NeoForge only, with 7 release versions covering 1.20.1 – 1.21.11, and the code is under All rights reserved, so it is not open source. The latest NeoForge file is 1.0.0 for 1.20.1, dated 2026-03-25.

  4. Buy requests

Players can post requests for items they want, with a reward such as 10 Iron, so others can fill them.

  5. Configurable settings

Server owners can change the settings of the economy to suit their world.
