Totem of Undying Death Messages replaces the plain death text shown when a player is saved by a Totem of Undying with a set of unique messages.
What it does
When a player survives a fatal hit because a Totem of Undying is used, the chat shows a custom message describing the event. The messages cover cases such as a player dying to a sweet berry bush or thorns and returning, a player who blows up and stays intact, and a player who suffocates in a wall and gets out. The mod adds more than 30 such messages, and the text is intended to be read as a joke.
The mod is a data pack, so it runs on the server and needs no client installation. The server must run it, while players may leave it out. It is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, and as a data pack for 1.19.4 – 26.3, with files for 25 release versions and snapshot builds. The author states the data pack is maintained only for the latest version and snapshots. The code is not open source and is released under All rights reserved. The source code and issue tracker are linked publicly.
