TooManyRecipeViewers
by Nolij
With EMI installed, TooManyRecipeViewers lets JEI plugins run in EMI without JEI itself being present, and it is maintained by Nolij.
What it does
The mod is a compatibility layer that makes JEI plugins work inside EMI. Its approach differs from EMI's built-in JEMI layer: TMRV covers all built-in JEI recipe types where JEMI covers only crafting and information recipes, and it maps JEI API calls directly onto EMI APIs instead of loading a full JEI registry first. Because the JEI registry is never built, far less of the JEI internals has to run.
Worlds load faster with TMRV than with JEMI, since JEI plugin initialization blocks world loading and EMI loads its plugins asynchronously after the world is ready. The trade-off is maintenance effort, and the author notes that some unmodified JEI code is kept inside the mod. Installation needs EMI, and the mod is not compatible with Just Enough Items (JEI) itself. The mod is client-side only and is published for Forge and NeoForge, for 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, under a custom license that is not open source. Source code and an issue tracker are public.
Key features
Built-in recipe conversion
Converts every built-in JEI recipe type, not only the crafting and information types that JEMI handles.
Direct API mapping
JEI API calls are routed to EMI APIs, and responses are converted back to the JEI format.
Ingredient search aliases
Ingredient and search aliases are supported, so plugins that rely on them still find their entries.
Recipe extras handling
Recipes added through createRecipeExtras are handled by the mod.
Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.
Only full game releases are shown. This mod publishes no snapshot builds.

Use cases
Faster world loading
Players who use JEI plugins with EMI can skip the JEI registry and reach the world sooner.
Running without JEI
Setups that want JEI plugin content in EMI but no JEI installed can use the mod instead.
Who it’s for: Players and modpack builders who run EMI and want JEI plugin content inside it, and who accept that the mod is maintained separately from EMI.
