What it does

Tiramisu simple end ban is a server-side mod that can also be shipped as a data pack. When a player enters the End, the mod teleports them out to the overworld spawn location at coordinates 0 0, shows a message that the End is banned, and gives the player the Slow Falling effect so the fall is safe. End portal frames are also changed so eyes of ender cannot be placed in them, which blocks the route into the dimension.

Only the server has to run the mod; players may leave it out and still join. The mod requires Fabric API. Files exist for Fabric across nine release versions, 1.20.1 – 1.21.11, with 2.1 for 1.21.11 as the latest build. The code is released under the MIT License, and the project's source code and issue tracker are public. Since version 2.0 the behavior is set in a config file.

Key features

  1. End access blocked

Players who try to enter the End are sent back to the overworld spawn at coordinates 0 0.

  2. Ban message

A player who is turned away receives a message that the End is banned.

  3. Slow Falling on return

The Slow Falling effect is applied to the player after the teleport, softening the landing.

  4. Portal frames changed

Eyes of ender can no longer be placed in end portal frames, so the portal cannot be activated.

  5. Configurable from 2.0

Starting with version 2.0, options are set in a configuration file.

Use cases

Server with the End closed

A server owner who wants the End unavailable can install the mod on the server, where it does its work.

Data pack setup

Servers that prefer data packs over Java mods can use the same ban as a data pack.

Who it’s for: Server owners who want to keep the End dimension closed to players. Clients need nothing extra, so players can join without installing the mod.

How it compares

Full comparison

Hardcore-ban is server-side only, released under the MIT License and not open source, and published for 1.21 – 1.21.3, a narrower version range than this mod. Panda Death Ban is server-side only and open source under the CC0 1.0 Universal license, published for 1.21.11 – 26.3, so it covers newer releases; it targets death rather than the End. Disable End is server-side only and open source under the CC0 1.0 Universal license, published for 1.16 – 26.2, and it addresses the same dimension with a wider version range.
