Three Lives Fabric
by LunaaaaaXxXx
Three Lives Fabric gives a hardcore server a three-life limit: a player who loses all three is removed from the world until the server allows a return.
What it does
Players start with three lives and lose one on each death. Once the last life is gone, the player is kicked from the server. A server running the mod can be set up for hardcore play, so each player gets one run of three lives before being removed.
The mod is built for scripted survival multiplayer worlds, where it can run alongside the server's own rules. Its recovery option turns the loss of lives on or off, so a server can keep the three-life rule or run a looser version of it. The mod is installed on the server only, so players join without installing anything.
It requires Fabric API, and its files target 1.21.11 alone, with 1.0.0 as the latest Fabric file, released on 2026-06-03. The code is released under the MIT License, but the mod is not open source.
Key features
Three lives per player
Each player has three lives, and every death costs one of them until none remain.
Kick on final death
When a player's lives run out, the server removes that player from the world.
Recovery setting
A server option controls whether losing lives is active, so the rule can be switched off.
Scripted survival support
The mod works on scripted survival multiplayer servers, not only on standard ones.
Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.
Only full game releases are shown. This mod publishes no snapshot builds.
Use cases
Hardcore servers
Server owners who want a three-life limit on a shared world can add the mod and keep the rule in force for every player.
Scripted SMPs
Scripted survival multiplayer worlds can use the mod without changes to the rest of the server setup.
Who it’s for: Server owners running hardcore or scripted survival multiplayer worlds on Fabric for 1.21.11.
How it compares
Easy Hardcore is a client-side only Fabric mod for 1.21.6 – 1.21.11, released under All rights reserved and not open source, so it changes what the player sees rather than the server. OneHP is a client and server Fabric mod for 1.20.5 – 1.21.11 under All rights reserved, so it must be installed on both sides. Three Lives Fabric is server-side only and released under the MIT License.
