thouhou chatty maids
by KinFire320
Touhou Chatty Maids lets players give orders to Touhou Little Maid maids by typing plain phrases in the in-game chat instead of opening menus.
What it does
The mod is an interaction layer for maids from Touhou Little Maid: Orihime. In local chat, a player's message is read by the closest owned maid inside a 20-block radius, which interprets the request and performs the associated order. Replies, triggers and orders can be added or changed directly in the game with the tlmchat command tree, and each trigger can list several phrases as aliases. Configuration is written to two files in the config directory on first launch. Requires Touhou Little Maid: Orihime and Forge Config API Port.
Gear and combat are handled automatically. A maid searches her inventory for the weapon a player asks for, including swords, axes, bows, crossbows, tridents and gohei, and equips it in her main hand. She then sets the matching combat AI task, such as melee, ranged, crossbow, trident or danmaku. If the required ammunition is missing, for example arrows for a bow, she says so in chat. Each maid also keeps home locations saved in server-side NBT storage, and a grounding lockdown keeps her in place when ordered.
The mod is published for Fabric on Minecraft 1.20.1 only, under the MIT License, with source code public. Client and server both need it, so a server must run it for the commands to work, and every player who joins needs it installed too. The server must also run Touhou Little Maid: Orihime. Commands work without operator permissions, and the mod is built with single-player use in mind. On a multiplayer server, all maids share the same global triggers and replies.
