Thought

by whistelliger55

Thought adds a set of fictional mobs to the game, with new creatures modeled on Pottery Sherd patterns, a tree-like guardian and a cute villager-style friend.

ForgeClient and serverMIT License1.20.1

What it does

Thought adds new fictional mobs, several of them reinterpretations of the figures painted on Pottery Sherds. One ancient creature is portrayed as a hunter with an oversized snout and jaws, and feeding it fish makes it heavier so it drops more meat. It can be bred using Egg items. A tree monster that mourns death offers an item tied to souls, and players who make that offer earn rewards from a Mourning Bloom Warden. Mourning Bloom Luminous creatures spawn and attack, and they take damage from a Mourning Bloom that scatters.

The mod also adds an ancient Creeper variant with explosive abilities. Attacking it makes it lose its explosive power, and it can be bred using gunpowder. A cute villager-type mob can be befriended with a right click, after which it may be invited home to its current spawn point and sometimes gives gifts. Some dye changes its costume. A Spawn Item can be crafted from a Pottery Sherd, an Egg and an Experience Bottle.

Thought needs Geckolib and runs on the client and the server together, so the server and every player must install it. Files exist for Forge only, for Minecraft 1.20.1, and the mod is released under the MIT License without being open source.

What the author says

Made by MCreator. # Disclaimer I'm Japanese, so I'm sorry if my English is wrong. Also, I don't have the time, so I can't provide detailed support. This mod adds new fictional mobs. All of the mobs have "wrong" interpretations of the mobs depicted in Pottery Sherd.
