Thermal Parallel
by EtSH-C2H6S
Thermal Parallel is a Forge addon for Thermal Expansion machines that lets a single machine run several crafting processes at once.
What it does
Thermal Parallel changes how Thermal Expansion machines handle crafting. Instead of finishing one recipe at a time, a machine can work through multiple crafting processes in a single cycle, a model similar to the parallel processing found in Mekanism factories. The addon works through mixins applied to the existing machine logic, so the machines themselves are not replaced.
The mod is aimed at modpack developers who want to adjust how Thermal machines perform. Parallelism is controlled by augments; the mod ships with one upgrade augment that adds +1 to the maximum parallel count by default. A config option makes additional augments appear in the creative tab, and developers can register their own augments through modding. Balance values are set in the thermal parallel-common.toml config file.
Thermal Parallel is a Forge mod for 1.19.2 – 1.20.1, with files for 1.19.2 and 1.20.1. Every player and the server need a copy of the mod. The code is under the MIT License and is not open source. The latest file is 1.0.1-beta.2 for 1.20.1, published on the beta channel.
Key features
Parallel crafting
A Thermal machine can complete several crafting processes in one cycle, instead of one process per cycle.
Parallel augment
An upgrade augment raises the maximum number of parallel processes by one, with the default setting.
Extra augment tab
A config option makes more augments appear in the creative tab, for testing or for pack-specific setups.
Custom augments
Developers can add their own augments in code, extending the parallel system with new upgrade values.
Balance configuration
Values for parallel behavior are set in the thermal parallel-common.toml file, so pack makers can tune them.
Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.
