The Purgatory

Players are sent into the Purgatory dimension when they break rules or receive a punishment from an administrator, who can use the exile command with a player name or give a Purgatory ring. Progress comes through an Altar in Purgatory, where crafting offerings yields special keys that open new stages of the dimension.

Each stage adds harder fights, bosses with stronger attacks and resources found only there. Forge Purga Metal lets a player craft a Purga Pickaxe and endure the trials needed to obtain the final artifact. The Purgatory Key and the Level III exit are the only route back to the overworld. A progression tab in the achievements screen serves as a visual guide for the path a player must follow.

The mod is designed for extreme survival modpacks and multiplayer servers that use it as a real prison. Both Forge and NeoForge are supported. The code is released under the MIT License, which does not make it open source. Installation covers the server and each player's game. Files exist for 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, with 1.1.5 for Forge on 1.20.1 and 1.0.5 for NeoForge on 1.21.1 as the latest builds.
