The Pentrahon

by ScaryTeam

The Pentrahon is a horror mod that adds corrupting anomalies, a fluid that spawns lightning rings, and a fireball gun for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge.

FabricForgeNeoForgeClient and serverCustom license1.19.4 – 1.21.11

What it does

Horror events in the mod are paced slowly, so scares take longer to arrive than in most survival content. Corrupting anomalies appear in some dimensions, and the blood fluid can spawn lightning rings where it is placed. The Hyper Webster gun fires large fireballs. The mod adds custom dimensions, one of them entirely red, and a few hidden features that players have to find on their own.

Most enemies have a lot of health, and some cannot be killed at all. Only a handful of foes can be harmed by particular kinds of attack, and walking the wrong way can be fatal.

Fabric API is required on every loader. Files target 1.19.4 – 1.21.11 and are published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge. A server running it needs every connecting player to have it too. It is released under a custom license and is not open source. The mod is meant for single-player and private multiplayer, and the author directs players to the official Modrinth links for the mod.

Key features

  1. Slow-burn horror pacing

Events are spaced out over longer stretches, so scares build gradually rather than arriving all at once.

  2. Lightning rings from blood fluid

Placing the blood fluid spawns lightning rings around the spot, adding a hazard to the surrounding area.

  3. Hyper Webster gun

The gun fires massive fireballs at enemies and environments, giving players a heavy ranged weapon.

  4. Anomalies and red dimension

Corrupting anomalies appear in some dimensions, and one custom dimension is entirely red.

  5. Hidden content

A few secrets are placed in the mod for players to discover while exploring.
