Lava Is Rising is a server-side Fabric minigame in which lava climbs a world over time, turning survival into a race against a steadily rising level.
What it does
Once enabled, the lava rises at an interval the operator sets, and the height gained at each step is configurable as well. Server owners can also toggle the mechanic on and off, and a reset function stops the rise and returns the lava to bedrock level. Players receive warning messages as the lava level increases, so they can prepare to move up.
Settings persist through a configuration file, and the same speed and height options can be changed in-game with commands, which require operator permission level 2. The mod is released for Fabric on Minecraft 1.21 and 1.21.1, so Fabric Loader is needed to run it. Because it runs on the server alone, players join without installing anything. The code is not open source, and it is released under All rights reserved, though public source code and an issue tracker exist.
