The Fake Dweller [Horror]
by Artmsrd
Installed on a Forge world, The Fake Dweller adds 17 entities, 46 random events and 7 dimensions that play out across 8 phases, ending in a single boss fight.
What it does
The mod is horror content for Minecraft Java Edition on Forge 1.20.1. Its scary entities try to imitate well-known horror mods, and its events include loud sounds and screamers. Some features can reach outside the game: the mod can interact with the PC and can break buildings in the world. A safemode command disables those unsafe features for players who want them off.
Because the mod is client and server, the server and every player need it. Files are published for Forge 1.20.1 only, and the latest is 0.1.2 from 2026-01-12 on the beta channel. The author notes that the mod is still in development and can be buggy, and that some shaders cause visual issues; Hysteria Shaders is named as the preferred choice. The code is under the MIT License and is not open source.
