The Broken Player

by BendasBuch

The Broken Player is a Forge horror mod that fills the world with a haunting entity, eerie sounds and hidden structures tied to its origin.

ForgeClient and serverAll rights reserved1.19.2 – 1.20.1

What it does

Its central addition is a mob that never stays in one place. It moves without a sound, appears at unexpected locations and keeps to the edge of a player's vision, sometimes standing right behind them. Whispers, footsteps and other ambient noises mark where it might be, so an area stays tense even when nothing is visible.

Dark structures are placed in the world, and they lead to places tied to the origin of the entity, built to create suspense and surprise. Spawn mechanics have been reworked so encounters are less predictable and better balanced, and recent bug fixes aim for smoother play with fewer interruptions. The mod runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it, and it is published for Forge on 1.19.2 and 1.20.1.

The card's latest file is 0.5.8 for 1.20.1, marked as a beta build, and the mod is released under All rights reserved, so it is not open source. A public issue tracker is linked from the project.
