What it does

Tea trees generate in jungle biome variants, so players can harvest fresh tea leaves without crafting them first. The leaves are processed with tea utensils such as a kettle, a cup, a bamboo tray and teapots into a range of beverages.

Brewed teas give different effects, and players can add sugar or honey to change them further. The mod is client and server, so the server and every player need it. Files cover 1.20.1 and 1.21.1 for Forge and NeoForge, and the code is released under the MIT License as open source.

Tea Aroma works alongside the Tea mod, and the Tea Kettle can brew tea with Tea Aroma recipes. Its builds are beta releases, with the latest NeoForge file dated 2026-08-13 for 1.21.1.

Use cases

Jungle farming

Players gather leaves from tea trees in jungles and set up a small processing area with the utensils.

Modpacks with tea content

Modpack builders use the mod for a tea theme alongside other food and world generation mods.

Who it’s for: Players who want tea-based food and brewing in a Forge or NeoForge world, and server owners who want the same drinks on a multiplayer server. Both sides need the mod, so every player on a server that runs it installs it too.

How it compares

Full comparison

Tea Explore is a Forge-only mod for 1.20.1, client and server, under the MIT License and not open source, while Tea Aroma covers Forge and NeoForge for 1.20.1 and 1.21.1. Tea brewery is also client and server and MIT licensed, and it spans the same two loaders and the same two versions as Tea Aroma. Farmer's Tea Resteeped is server-side only and open source under the MIT License, so players can join without installing it, which Tea Aroma does not allow.
