TarkovCraft: Core

by Toma1O6

TarkovCraft: Core is a NeoForge library that provides shared systems for the other TarkovCraft subprojects, including a skills and attribute system.

NeoForgeClient and serverAll rights reserved1.21.1 – 26.3

What it does

The core library supplies common functions that the other TarkovCraft subprojects build on, among them a skills and attribute system. Its main purpose is to hold these shared pieces in one place so the subprojects can rely on the same code. Configuration is required, so that library must be installed alongside it.

The mod is part of a planned project that aims to bring its subprojects together into a Tarkov-like experience. Those subprojects cover a medical system with medical items, a custom health system with custom hitboxes, mobs and status effects kept close to vanilla behavior, realistic firearm mechanics, and a custom vehicle framework for land, water and air vehicles. Some of these systems are described as early concepts, and the configuration menu can disable them individually. The author also describes a later plan for a custom server with open-world gameplay.

A server running it needs every connecting player to have it too. It is published for NeoForge only, across 13 release versions 1.21.1 – 26.3, with 2.11.2+26.3 as the latest file. The mod is not open source and is released under All rights reserved. Source code, an issue tracker and a wiki are linked publicly. Two other mods, Medical System and Airdrops, require it.

Use cases

Who it’s for: The mod suits players who want the TarkovCraft subprojects, and server owners who plan an open-world survival setup. Its systems are still under development, so the core library is better read as a base for the other parts.

What the author says

All systems can be disabled in the mod configuration menu. We plan to make custom server with open-world gameplay on custom map with custom game mode - allowing capturing map sections from other player factions, just driving around in custom vehicles, ambushing enemies or just looting near your main base.
