[TaCZ] TaCZ Gore
by lolposche
TaCZ Gore is a Forge mod for Minecraft 1.20.1 that paints bullet wounds directly onto a mob's skin when it is hit by a TaCZ weapon.
What it does
Instead of placing an overlay, the mod rebuilds the wound on the mob's own texture. Each bullet hole is a blocky, voxel-style mark on the exact spot that was struck, drawn in 16x16 pixel detail so it matches the look of Minecraft's textures. Holes in shallow hits show flesh at the edge and a darker core, while headshots crack the skull and expose brain matter.
Blood drips and stains run down the texture and follow gravity, and splatter particles add to the effect. Headshots count for a bonus. Healing over time is synced across players in multiplayer. The mod requires TaCZ, the gun mod it reacts to, and runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. Files exist only for 1.20.1, with 1.0.3 as the latest Forge build, and the code is released under All rights reserved.
Key features
Painted bullet holes
Wounds are drawn into the mob's skin texture at the point of impact, so they bend and move with the model.
Headshot wounds
Headshots crack the skull and leave a wound showing brain matter, distinct from body hits.
Blood drips and stains
Drips run down the texture with gravity, and stains and splatter particles mark the hit area.
Synced healing
Wounds heal over time, and the healing stays in step for all players in a multiplayer game.

Use cases
Combat scenes on a server
A server that already runs TaCZ can add this mod so every player sees the same wounds on zombies and other mobs.
Horror-themed builds
Players who want a grislier look for zombie fights can use the wound textures as part of a darker atmosphere.
Who it’s for: Players who already use TaCZ guns and want visible wounds on mobs, and server owners who run TaCZ and want the same effects shared by everyone online.
