Szymek's Grill Mod

The mod adds a grill that cooks food over fire, and grilling can damage items placed on it, so a player who steps onto a hot grill should be careful. The mod also includes black iron materials: a black iron ingot, plate and block, plus iron sticks, and a wooden slab can work as a grill. Recipes for the grill and the black iron items were revised in later releases, so newer worlds use the current crafting recipes.

Players who plan to keep a world should read the author's notes first. The mod was renamed from G.R.I.L.L. and the mod ID changed, so worlds that used earlier builds may lose grills. Early releases replaced an older grill with a black grill, and black iron ingots could be crafted back into regular iron ingots. Installing Just Enough Items (JEI) is optional and adds recipe lookup in the game.

Files are published for Forge and NeoForge, with builds covering 1.16.5 – 26.1.2 across eight release versions. The latest Forge file is 1.14 for 1.20.1 and the latest NeoForge file is 1.15 for 26.1.2. Either side can run the mod, and neither needs it. The mod is released under All rights reserved and is not open source.
