Structure Compass

Structure Compass lets a player craft a compass that points to one chosen world structure, such as a village, fortress or temple.

What it does

Players craft a Structure Compass, sneak and right-click to set the structure it should track, and then use it to locate that structure. By default it searches within 300 blocks, a value the server owner can change in the config. The compass can't find a structure that lies at the world spawn point. Structure Compass runs on client and server, so both need it, and it is published for Forge and NeoForge across 24 release versions, 1.15.2 – 26.3. Bookshelf, CraftTweaker and Game Stages are optional dependencies. The code is open source under the MIT License.

  1. Structure selection

    A sneak and right-click sets which world structure the compass tracks, so one item can be pointed at different targets.

  2. Configurable search radius

    The default search range is 300 blocks, and the server config can change it to suit a world.

  3. Crafted compass

    The Structure Compass is a craftable item, unlike the per-structure compasses that version 1.15 and older versions of the mod added.

Yes. Servers that run it need every player to install it too.

What the author says

This mod adds a compass that can be used to locate structures of choice. When you craft the Structure Compass it's not set to any particular structure. You'll have to Sneak Right-click to set the structure you want to locate.
