Strata (Forge Edition)

by Quizer9O8

Strata brings fifteen new stone types into Forge worlds, sorted into three major rock categories, and changes how the surface of generated terrain looks.

ForgeClient and serverMIT LicenseOpen source1.15.2 – 1.20.1

What it does

The stone types spawn anywhere in a world, so a player can run across them while exploring rather than only in a dedicated biome. Strata groups its blocks into three distinguished major rock families. Beyond the generated stones, it adds blocks that serve no mechanical purpose and exist only for decoration, letting builders vary the look and feel of a landscape.

Strata only works with the TerraForged world type. A world created with another generator will not show its content, so that is the first thing to check before installing. Client and server need the same install, since the environment is client and server. Files are published for Forge alone, and the latest file, 1.3.1, targets 1.20.1 and was released on 2023-12-28. Earlier builds cover 1.15.2, 1.16.4, 1.18.2 and 1.19.4, and the range across five release versions is 1.15.2 – 1.20.1. Strata is released under the MIT License and is open source, and public links exist for source code, the issue tracker and a wiki.
