Strange World is a psychological horror mod for Fabric and Forge that gradually turns a peaceful survival world into a frightening one, and it begins with a warm chat companion named Jerry.
What it does
Jerry starts out as a cheerful chat entity who warns about hostile mobs and points to diamonds. Over the course of play his messages change: they become unsettling, he mentions things he should not know and claims that block counts do not add up. A watcher figure resembling Steve can appear at a distance, and a cave sound can stop abruptly as the figure vanishes. The effects include loud sudden sounds, jumpscares with frightening imagery, screen glitches, camera shake and a custom distorted sound effect. The world itself can change in hostile ways. A warning screen appears the first time a player enters a world, and a Privacy Mode option lets players disable browser history reading.

Privacy Mode option
A Privacy Mode setting disables the reading of browser history, and a warning screen is shown on first entering a world.
