StepUpAgain
by derrod
StepUpAgain lets players climb full blocks without pressing jump, by raising the step height of the player on Fabric.
What it does
The mod raises the step height so a player walks up full-height blocks directly. Its mode switch uses the J key, and a normal mode and an autojump mode can be swapped at any time. In the default setup the client takes big steps as usual, while autojump mode climbs blocks without a jump. The author describes it as autojump without the hunger cost that jumping carries, which is why it avoids the usual drawback.
The step height is stored per server, so settings for one server do not carry over to another. The client works with vanilla servers. Some server code can block the effect on a particular server, and in that case the mod simply does not apply there. Every option is changed through the usual options screen.
StepUpAgain needs Cloth Config API and Fabric API. It is released under the MIT License and is open source, with source code and an issue tracker available. Files cover 1.20.6 – 1.21.1, and the latest file is for 1.21.1, dated 2024-06-14.
