Spells and Orbital Strike Cannons adds magic items and a cannon-style attack to Fabric worlds, and the mod is required on the server.
What it does
Players who use the mod's wands and charges can strike with spells, drops of stab charges and an orbital cannon. Each effect is a separate Datapack feature, so the set of spells is defined by the data pack that ships with the mod rather than by code alone.
The mod is a server mod at heart: the server has to run it, while a client can join with it or without it. It targets Fabric only, with Fabric builds for 1.21.11 and a release from 2026-02-19 on the beta channel. Spells and Orbital Strike Cannons is distributed under All rights reserved, so it is not open source.
Key features
Stab charge drops
A spell drops three stab charges, each aimed in one of three perpendicular directions from the player's aim.
Orbital strike arrows
A cannon launches hypersonic arrows that set off 150 compressed TNT explosions along the direction the player is looking.
Defensive shields
One spell summons shield obsidian blocks around the player's location and resistance 255 with weakness 255 for a short time.
Timed buff bundle
A spell grants a short burst of combined effects, and a punishing variant summons TNT around the player when enemies come close.
