SoulForge Teams
by gdpulsar
SoulForge Teams lets players on a SoulForge server form teams, invite members and declare other teams as allies, neutrals or enemies.
What it does
Teams are managed with the sfteams command. A player creates a team, invites others and accepts invitations, while the team info command lists the current members. Each member holds one of three ranks, member, leader or owner, and a server holds only one owner team at a time. Promoting and demoting members depends on rank, and a leader can be demoted back by the owner.
The mod is an official add-on for SoulForge and works only alongside it. Its server-side features cover membership changes, kicks and departures, with a team owner barred from leaving until ownership is handed over. The license is MIT, and the source code is public. Files target 1.20.1 only, with the latest Fabric build 1.0.5 dated 2024-08-15, and the mod must run on the server while clients may leave it out.
Key features
Ranked team membership
Members hold the ranks member, leader or owner, and ranks decide who can invite, promote, demote or kick.
Team relations
The declare subcommand sets another team as an ally, neutral or enemy, so relations between teams are recorded on the server.
Invitations and kicks
Invite and accept commands bring players into a team, while kick and leave remove them again.
Offensive ally targeting option
A configurable option decides whether offensive abilities can be cast on allied players.
Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.
Only full game releases are shown. This mod publishes no snapshot builds.
Use cases
Community factions on a server
Server owners can let players form factions with leaders, invitations and declared rivalries between groups.
Roleplay and PvP groups
Enemy declarations and the ally targeting option let groups set up hostile or cooperative play.
Who it’s for: Server owners running SoulForge who want player teams with ranks and diplomatic relations between them. Clients on the server do not need the mod.
How it compares
Community Leaders is server required with client optional, open source under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 or later, and published for 1.20.1. Team Tagger is client-side only, under All rights reserved, for 1.20.1, so it does not run on the server.
