by Poitchin

Soulbound Remnants lets a player keep selected items after death, while the rest of the inventory is dropped or cleared.

ForgeClient and serverMIT LicenseOpen source1.20.1

What it does

On death, the mod keeps armor, tools, weapons and rare items that the configuration lists, and everything else is copied to a chest at the death location. It is a Forge mod for Minecraft 1.20.1 only, and it is open source under the MIT License. Both client and server need it installed.

Key features

  1. Selective keeping

Armor, tools, weapons and rare items are kept after death, and other items are left behind.

  2. Configurable item list

The set of kept items can be changed in the config, so a server can choose which items survive death.

  3. Death location storage

Items that are not kept are placed where the player died, so they can be recovered.
