by Carlettos1

Carlettos1's New Slab, Stairs and Walls is a Fabric decoration mod for 1.19.2 that adds slabs, stairs, walls and fence gates for many existing blocks.

FabricClient and serverGNU General Public License v3.0 onlyOpen source1.19.2

What it does

Blocks such as sculk, obsidian and ice, along with concrete, terracotta and wool colors, gain matching slab, stair, wall and fence variants. The new pieces reuse the parent block's texture, so they match the vanilla look without a texture pack. Some cracked and chiseled blocks, including Cracked Nether Brick Fence Gate, Cracked Deepslate Brick Stairs and Chiseled Polished Blackstone Wall, are added as new blocks.

Builders get more shapes to finish rooms and roofs with. A server running it needs every connecting player to have it too. Files exist for 1.19.2 only, with version 1.1.0+1.19.2 as the latest Fabric build. The code is released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, and the source code is public.

Key features

  1. Slab, stair and wall variants

Existing blocks receive slab, stair, wall and fence gate versions, so a single block type can be used in more shapes.

  2. Textures from the parent block

New pieces take the texture of the block they come from, keeping the look consistent with vanilla blocks.

  3. Cracked and chiseled blocks

Cracked and chiseled variants add fence gates, stairs, slabs and walls for nether bricks, blackstone, deepslate and quartz.

  4. Colored concrete, terracotta and wool

Colored versions of concrete, terracotta and wool receive slab, stair and wall pieces, widening the palette for builds.

Use cases

Finishing rooms

Stairs, slabs and walls made from the same block let a room's floor, steps and trim share one material.

Building with color

Colored concrete, terracotta and wool variants give builders matching trim in each of their colors.

Who it’s for: Builders who want more block shapes for vanilla materials, in single-player worlds or on servers running Fabric 1.19.2.
