Sizeable Foliage

by craisinlord

Sizeable Foliage lets players grow existing plants and bushes into larger sizes, with bonemeal and extra size variants for vanilla foliage.

What it does

Sizeable Foliage adds larger versions of plants already in the game, including bushes, ferns and lily pads. Several growth steps are available, so a bush can be bonemealed twice to reach a bigger form. Blocks such as the big crimson, warped and sweet berry bushes, the fern wall and the big lilypad are included, along with a torchflower that grows taller.

The mod is a world generation and decoration addition for survival worlds, adventure maps and builds that need denser greenery. Its author recommends pairing it with Swing Through Grass. Because it changes block behavior and shapes, the environment is client and server: the server and every player need it for the larger plants to appear.

Installation works on Fabric, Forge and NeoForge. The 1.2.1 file is the latest on each loader, built for 26.3 on Fabric and NeoForge and for 1.20.1 on Forge. Builds cover 1.20.1 – 26.3 across seven release versions, and the code is under All rights reserved, so the source is viewable but not open source.

Key features

  1. Larger foliage sizes

Existing bushes, ferns and plants gain bigger forms that can be reached through bonemeal growth steps.

  2. Bush and wall blocks

Big crimson, warped and sweet berry bushes, a fern wall and a big lilypad join the decoration set.

  3. Taller torchflower

The torchflower gets a growth step that makes it taller than the vanilla version.

  4. Denser grass cover

Grass areas can carry larger bush-like plants, giving lawns a fuller look without new terrain.
