Singleplayer Library
Singleplayer Library is a utility library for datapack mods that lets developers enable features only in singleplayer worlds.
What it does
The library gives datapack developers a tag-based way to detect when a world is a singleplayer world, so features and settings can apply there alone. Manual permission setup and extra commands are not needed for singleplayer users to get the intended behavior. It is a foundation for other projects and adds no gameplay features of its own.
The check runs once per second rather than on every one of the 20 ticks, which keeps the performance impact low. Code placed under the active tag runs only in singleplayer worlds, and a generated namespace is created for the datapack, though the mod using it must still write its own structure. Files exist for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, plus a Data pack platform, across 1.17 – 26.2.
A server running the library needs it, while players may leave it out, since it works on the server and does not require the client. The library is released under All rights reserved and is not open source, though developers may use it in projects that generate revenue.
Key features
Singleplayer tag detection
Projects check a tag to tell whether the current world is singleplayer, then gate their features on that result.
Once-per-second checks
The check runs once per second instead of every tick, which keeps the overhead small compared with a per-tick function.
No separate version projects
One library supports the same integration across several Minecraft versions, so developers avoid maintaining separate singleplayer builds.
Generated datapack namespace
A namespace pack is created automatically for the datapack, while the mod using the library writes its own structure.

How it compares
TritiumConfiguration is open source under the MIT License and runs on Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt for 1.19 – 1.21.10, with the client or server optional. NAIF API is also MIT licensed but not open source by the catalog, and it targets 1.21 – 1.21.11 on Fabric, NeoForge and Quilt as a client and server mod. Alexandria Lib is the only one of these for NeoForge and Fabric at 1.21.1, under All rights reserved, and it needs both client and server.
