Simple Quarry

by Zeith

Simple Quarry adds automated mining machines to Forge and NeoForge worlds, with fueled and powered variants that dig out a set area.

ForgeNeoForgeClient and serverAll rights reserved1.9.4 – 1.21.4

What it does

The mod adds quarry blocks that dig out an area on their own. The fueled quarry burns coal or charcoal, and each piece of fuel covers 96 blocks. The powered quarry draws RF energy instead and needs at least 200 RF per tick to work. A quarry digs out a single chunk, and two quarries should not be placed in the same chunk, because that can cause an explosion.

Mined items go into an adjacent inventory when one is present, and otherwise drop onto the ground. Upgrades can be applied to the powered quarry. Version 9r introduced a new upgrade system for it. A config file lets server owners pick between the default powered quarry recipe and an alternative one. HammerLib is required, and the mod is published for Forge and NeoForge only.

Key features

  1. Fueled quarry

A quarry that burns coal or charcoal, with each fuel item covering 96 mined blocks.

  2. Powered quarry

A quarry that runs on RF energy and supports upgrades through the system added in version 9r.

  3. Adjacent output

Mined items are placed into a neighboring inventory, or dropped on the ground when none is adjacent.

  4. Configurable recipes

A config file selects which recipe the powered quarry uses, so server owners can change the crafting path.
