Simple Music Discs

by xeonixcraft

Simple Music Discs adds more than 25 unique music discs to NeoForge 1.21.1, with a few secret ones that can be crafted.

NeoForgeClient and serverAll rights reserved1.21.1

What it does

The discs are built with MCreator and cover a mix of unused tracks from Minecraft, original tunes and fan-made songs. Several titles carry the Exclusive Volume label, and one disc is a secret tune with a craft recipe of its own. The Tears music disc sits in the same set as the other additions.

The mod is lightweight and uses no extra blocks or screens. Players receive the discs as items and play them in a jukebox, the same way they play vanilla discs. Client and server both run it, so the server and every player need the mod installed. Files are published for NeoForge 1.21.1 only, with 1.9.0 as the latest build from 2025-07-01. The code is covered by All rights reserved and is not open source.

Key features

  1. Unused Minecraft tracks

Several discs add music that Minecraft included in its files but never placed in a release disc.

  2. Secret craftable discs

Two of the discs can be crafted instead of found, and the recipes are not listed in the mod's own text.

  3. Exclusive Volume series

Discs labeled Exclusive Volume Alpha and Beta form a numbered group of tracks by different artists.

  4. Minigame tracks

Tracks from the Legacy Edition minigame set, including Battle and Glide, are included as discs.

Use cases

Jukebox soundtracks

Players who build a music room or a record shop in a world can fill it with discs from this set.

Server music collections

Server owners can hand the same disc set to every player, so a shared jukebox plays the same tracks for everyone.

Who it’s for: Players who want more music in a jukebox on NeoForge 1.21.1, and server owners who run a music area for their community. The mod is not needed for the discs already in vanilla.

How it compares

Full comparison

Lost Discs is a NeoForge 1.21.1 disc mod that is client and server and released under All rights reserved, so it covers the same version and side as this mod. Quest Eleven is also NeoForge 1.21.1 and client and server, but it is open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later. Music Discs Mod targets NeoForge 1.21.4 instead, so a 1.21.1 world cannot use it.

Which loader and version does Simple Music Discs support?

It is published for NeoForge only, and the only game version listed is 1.21.1. Fabric and Forge files are not part of this catalog entry.

How are the secret discs obtained?

Two of the discs can be crafted. The mod's text does not give the recipe, so players need to check the in-game recipe book.
