Simple Crosshair Editor

by astrolddd

With Simple Crosshair Editor, players draw their own pixel-based crosshair in-game instead of keeping the default one, with control over its shape, size and colour.

FabricClient-side onlyApache License 2.0Open source1.21 – 26.3

What it does

A pixel editor lets the player build a crosshair one pixel at a time, then set its thickness, width, length, custom colours and opacity. Several presets can be saved as separate profiles and switched between as needed. The mod also adds an indicator that shows when the player has elytra equipped, which can be moved freely across the screen, a player attack indicator and a low durability indicator.

The mod requires Fabric API and has Mod Menu as an optional dependency, which gives access to its settings screen from the mods list. It is client-side only, so the server and other players do not need it. Files are published for Fabric, across 17 release versions 1.21 – 26.3, and the code is open source under the Apache License 2.0. Snapshot builds are published as well.

Key features

  1. Pixel-based crosshair editor

Each pixel of the crosshair can be set by hand, so the shape is fully customizable instead of picked from a fixed list.

  2. Size and colour controls

Thickness, width, length, colour and opacity can each be adjusted to fit the player's screen and taste.

  3. Movable elytra indicator

An indicator for equipped elytra can be placed anywhere on the screen and moved at will.

  4. Attack and durability indicators

A player attack indicator and a low durability indicator give feedback during combat and while using gear.

What the author says

Instead of being stuck with the default crosshair, you can create your own style using a pixel editor with full control over shape, size, colour and more. I recommend not using any other crosshair related mod with this but the Crosshair Addons public mod works with it and is the only one I tested. You can use it for…
