Server Browser
by TheThonk
Server Browser lets players find modded servers from inside the game, through a menu added to the multiplayer screen.
What it does
The browser opens from the multiplayer screen, where a 'Server Browser' button sits in the top left corner. Players can filter the server list by tag, so a search for a particular type of server returns only matches. The mod is built for players looking for a server that fits the modpack they just installed.
Modpack authors get extra controls. A blacklist keeps listed servers out of the browser, and it never removes anything from a player's own favorite servers on the regular multiplayer screen. A config option sets a modpack filter that hides other modpack tags from the tag list. Official servers for a modpack can be pinned to the top of players' favorites list.
The mod is client-side only, so only the client needs it and servers run without it. It requires EpheroLib on Fabric, Forge and NeoForge. Files are available for 16 release versions, 1.18.2 – 1.21.5, and the latest builds are 1.4.0. The code is not open source, and it is released under All rights reserved.
Key features
In-game server search
A browser screen next to the multiplayer list finds servers without leaving the game or opening a website.
Tag filtering
Servers can be narrowed by tags, so a search returns only the types of server a player wants.
Pinned official servers
Official servers for a modpack can be placed at the top of the favorites list for quick access.

Use cases
Modpack distribution
A modpack author can point players to official servers directly from the game, with a tag filter that keeps unrelated modpacks out of the list.
Who it’s for: The mod suits modpack authors who want their players to find the right server, and players who install a modpack and need a server to join.
How it compares
Mod Browser is Forge and NeoForge only, covers 1.12.2 – 1.21.1, and is client-side only under All rights reserved, so it does not run on Fabric. Item Model Browser is Fabric only, covers 1.21.10 – 26.3, is client or server optional, and is not open source. Server Country Flags is open source under the MIT License, client-side only, and runs on Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt across 1.18 – 26.1.1, which is a different purpose: it shows country flags rather than finding servers.
