Selective Keep Items

by okipiak

Selective Keep Items lets a player choose which inventory items stay after death, configured through a file on the server.

FabricQuiltServer-side onlyAll rights reserved26.1 – 26.1.2

What it does

Items listed in the config file are kept when a player dies, while everything else in the inventory drops as usual. This makes it possible to protect valuable items without changing how death works for the rest of the inventory. Only the server needs the mod, so players join without installing anything. Fabric API is required, and files are published for Fabric and Quilt for 26.1.2, with builds also covering 26.1 and 26.1.1.

Key features

  1. Kept items list

A config file sets which items are preserved when a player dies, giving full control over what is kept and what is lost.

  2. Normal item drops

Items not on the kept list drop on death as they normally would, so the rest of the inventory behaves as usual.

  3. Protected valuables

Selected items can be kept while others remain at risk, so death keeps its consequences.
