Secure Trade
by Navielon
Secure Trade lets two players exchange items and experience from any distance or dimension through a shared trade screen with a confirmation step.
What it does
Players send a trade request in chat, and the other player accepts it to open a shared trade window. Each side adds items, experience or both, then both confirm before a short countdown lets the exchange complete. Changing an offer after confirming resets both readiness states, so each player checks the updated trade before it goes through.
Server owners can tighten the defaults. Request timeouts, cooldowns, countdown length, maximum trade distance, cross-dimension trading, item blacklists and the size of the trade history are all set in a server configuration file, and transactions can be logged. Modpacks can also restrict items with the securetrade:untradeable item tag, and tagged items pass the same recursive container checks as the IDs listed under blacklistedItems. The mod runs on Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, on client and server, with files for 1.16.5 – 26.2 and the latest build for 26.2. It is released under the MIT License and is open source.
Key features
Trade from anywhere
Two players can trade items and experience across the base, across the map or between dimensions, without walking to each other.
Shared trade screen
Both players see the same window with each side's offer, so each can check what the other is putting up.
Two-step confirmation
Both players must confirm before the trade completes, and any change to an offer clears both confirmations.
Configurable limits
Distance, dimension, cooldown, timeout and item restriction settings can be tightened on the server.
Trade history logging
Completed exchanges can be recorded, with the history size set in the configuration.
