[SBW] Suppressing

by jastickon

[SBW] Suppressing adds a suppression effect to the SuperbWarfare gun mod, so enemy fire affects the player's view during combat.

ForgeClient and serverApache License 2.01.20.1

What it does

Enemy bullets that strike the cover beside a player create a sense of pressure in combat. Each hit produces a visual interference effect, the screen blurs and the view deteriorates, which pushes players to think about tactics when they stand under fire. The effect is an addon, so it only does anything alongside the SuperbWarfare base game, which must be installed first. The mod is built for Forge 1.20.1 and runs on client and server, so both sides need it. The Forge file, version 1.0, was published on 2026-01-29 under the Apache License 2.0, and the project is not open source.

Key features

  1. Suppression screen effect

Enemy fire blurs the screen and degrades the view, simulating the disorientation of being pinned down.

  2. Cover-based pressure

Bullets that hit the cover next to the player produce the suppression effect, so nearby impacts still matter.

  3. Addon to SuperbWarfare

The effect extends the SuperbWarfare gun mod with visual sound effects and a more immersive firefight.
