Sage Brush
by davigj
Sage Brush changes the vanilla brush so that it reacts to more blocks, mobs and particles in the world, and it needs Blueprint to run.
What it does
The mod extends what a brush can do. Blocks such as end rods and spore blossoms, along with flowers and single snow layers that have no collision hitbox, can be brushed, and some blocks are emitted as specific particles instead of the default dust. Polished blocks like diamond blocks and ores give off gleam particles when brushed, while the gleam effect and the zero-dust behavior are disabled by default and can be turned on.
Brushing living entities is also part of the design. Some mobs yield feathers or scutes more often when a soothing brush is used, and a brush can occasionally snag an entity without dealing damage, which may provoke it. Blocks marked as removable are destroyed when brushed and drop nothing. Installation requires Blueprint, and the mod lists many optional dependencies that add further interactions. Sage Brush runs on client and server, so both the server and every player need it. Its code is open source under the MIT License, with files for 1.19.2, 1.20.1 and 1.21.1.
